Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd. Cylinder Heads are produced mainly in cast iron, though the company is developing aluminium heads also for specific applications. These casting are made at one of the technically advanced foundries in India. The Cylinder Heads are manufactured using shell mould casting process to achieve uniform wall thickness around water jacket. The casting and the water passages are cleaned using the shot blasting process, and the heads are machined using highly sophisticated CNC machines that yield excellent dimensional accuracy. Advance testing processes like Metallurgical, Hydro-pressure and Vacuum Testing etc. are carried out to ensure delivery of a defect free product to the customer.
